This year, the Larry and Andrea Frank Endowment provided more than $2000 to Salty Family Services to support the emergency financial needs of families in our community. According to Salty Ministries, which provides direct assistance funds to assist families with rent, utilities and daycare, the Franks’ donation will benefit six local families struggling to make ends meet.

In addition to the direct financial assistance, the Salty Ministries program partners these families with a mentor who will guide them toward financial empowerment over the course of three to four months. By supporting immediate needs and building a successful foundation, families can become more financially stable.

The Andrea and Larry Frank Endowment, a field of interest fund with the Community Foundation and United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties, awarded the grant to Salty Ministries because it upholds the values of the endowment to support prevention programs that address the basic needs of local families and help keep family units together.
